Getting Lost

Mega Maze entrance

9/3/2007  Davis’ Mega Maze, Sterling, MA.

The Mega Maze has been adopted as tradition over these last few years.  Every year i take a whole week off for my birthday, and I’m not happy about it unless i get to go to the Mega Maze.  It’s this really big attraction seriously….in the middle of nowhere. it’s surrounded by old, decrepid barns and fields.  maybe ten minutes away from my house.  This year’s theme was “lost Vegas” and it was fucking hard.  It took us three hours to make it through.

Mega Maze torture.

You see this sign as soon as you start the maze.  left or right….your first decision…hmmm.  What really sucks ass is coming across this sign an hour and a half into the maze, AFTER you’ve already found the halfway mark.  How the fuck did that happen?

We’ve got one of this of by my parents house in the burbs. I have always wanted to give it a try.

I’m a big fan of working haunted houses and hayrides. That’s a LOT of fun.

I like haunted houses. Halloween is around the corner so the annual corn maze action is just around the corner. Last year’s adventure involved splitting a bottle of Jack with a friend while we ran ahead of hide scaring people. :) I like them because the big corn mazes they do around here are open at night so you can do them in the dark and get really lost.

http://www.pumpkinmaze.com/ is the bigger one around here and they have pumpkin cannons in a different part where you shoot mini pumpkins at targets. Those cannons are soooooo cool and powerful.

Sadly there hasn’t been a killer haunted house around here in years but there are some ok ones.
