I haven’t been up here since I was 6. The express elevator still made my ears pop. This of course provided entertainment for my companions as I flexed my jaw up and down to relieve the pressure. thanx kids! tip your wait staff!
Speaking of wait staff, I had planned on getting a beverage during my short stay at the top, but the $12 price tag didn’t do a very good job of convincing me. I do think that we should’ve walked on the tab that was accumulated as the waitress left us for about 40 minutes. 1 round of drinks and we sat way too long when other people could’ve used the table. Way to lose business for your employers and a decent tip for yourself.
The view was good, but not great. The haze was pretty thick. Still, I do love seeing the city from this POV. It increases my fascination with maps. I surprise myself with some of the locations I’ll peg on google maps.
